Dr Rhiannon Ifans was until recently Dyson Fellow at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. Her main field of research is medieval Welsh literature. Other research interests include Welsh folk culture. An award-winning children’s author, she won the Tir na n-Og Prize in 2000 for Chwedlau o’r Gwledydd Celtaidd and in 2003 for Dewi Sant; Owain Glyndŵr: Tywysog Cymru was shortlisted for the Tir na n-Og Prize in 2001. She won the Prose Medal for Ingrid at the National Eisteddfod of Wales in 2019.
