Russell Celyn Jones is Professor of Creative Writing at Birbeck College, London University. He is the author of five novels, and was awarded the Society of Authors' Award in 1997. Ten Seconds from the Sun was long-listed for the Wales Book of the Year award 2006. He is a staff reviewer for The Times, and was a Booker Prize judge in 2002. He also won the David Higham Prize in 1990 and a Welsh Arts Council fiction award in 1991.
