Ifan Morgan Jones is lecturer in Journalism at Bangor University. He was deputy editor of the magazine Golwg and editor of the news website Golwg360. His debut novel, Igam Ogam (Y Lolfa), won the Daniel Owen Memorial Prize at the National Eisteddfod in 2008. His second novel, Dadeni (Y Lolfa), a fantasy novel was published in 2017 and he is the author of Babel - the first steampunk novel in Welsh (2019, Y Lolfa). Babel was selected to our Bookcase in 2019. He is founder of Nation.Cymru, an independent Welsh news website seeking to fill a gap in the provision of unbiased journalism in Wales.

In 2020, his novel Babel won the triple crown of prizes at the Wales Book of the Year, including Wales Book of the Year (in the Welsh language), the Fiction category prize, and the Golwg360 Barn y Bobl (People's Choice award).
