In January, seven foreign writers and translators will be welcomed at Tŷ Newydd: National Writers' Centre for Wales. They have all been awarded Translators' House Wales residencies which have been made possible with the support of Literature Wales. During their stay translators will be meeting with Welsh writers whose work they are currently translating as well as getting to know the literary world in Wales more intimately.

Both Sunandan Roy Chowdhury from Calcutta and Emilia Ivancu from Romania will be working on translations of O! Tyn y Gorchudd by Angharad Price - into Bengali and Romanian respectively. Katica Acevska is translating My Piece of Happiness by Lewis Davies into Macedonian and Barbara Pogačnik will be working on a Slovenian translation of Patrick McGuinness's poems.
