Announcing the 2021–22 Bookshelf

01 November 2021

Silff2021

We are pleased to announce our Bookshelf for 2021-22, our selection of books from Wales which we recommend for translation.

As usual, our announcement will coincide with the Frankfurt Book Fair. The Bookshelf is the focal point of our attendance at book fairs, where members of our team meet with foreign publishers and literary festivals, to promote the books and authors featured on the Bookshelf alongside our translation grants programme, which is open to applications from foreign publishers for the translation of literature from Wales.

This year, eighteen titles have been chosen to our Bookshelf and each one a world unto its own.

  • Mynd - Marged Tudur (Gwasg Carreg Gwalch)
  • Y wraig ar lan yr afon - Aled Jones Williams (Gwasg Carreg Gwalch)
