Casgliad o Ysgrifau (Collected Essays) by T. H. Parry-Williams and Melog, a novel by Mihangel Morgan, will appear on a European list of forgotten treasures, following their selection by academic and novelist Angharad Price.

Each year, a committee of ten eminent authors, propose a subjective list of classical and contemporary works, which may include all literary genres, from novel to poetry or essay – books which, up until now, have not been sufficiently translated or have simply been forgotten.

Angharad Price was nominated by Wales Literature Exchange and selected by The European Society of Authors alongside Janne Teller, Gonçalo M. Tavares, Vladimir Arsenijević, Igiaba Scego, László F. Földényi, Olga Tokarczuk, Enzo Traverso, Monique Schwitter and Christos Chrissopoulos to select Finnegan's List 2014.

Throughout 2014, events will be held in cities across Europe, from Amsterdam to Krakow, to celebrate the selection, providing opportunities for the authors to discuss their proposals and the importance of literature in translation.
