We are pleased to share our report, Internationalising Reading Experiences of Chidlren and Young People in Welsh, which is now available to read on our website. The report is the outcome of a project between Wales Literature Exchange, Literature Across Frontiers and the Books Council of Wales in collaboration with the British Council in Wales.

The report discusses the challenges stemming from the small number of translations into Welsh from languages other than English and the overdependence on translating from English. The report also seeks to offer solutions to some of these challenges in the form of the resource, Translation Connect.

Translation Connect is a resource aimed at the publishing sector in Wales in order to facilitate the process of publishing literature in translation. The resource focuses on six specific aspects of the process of publishing literature in translation: promotion agencies, book fairs and festivals, networks, publishers, translators and prizes.
