Creative Wales Ambassador, Richard Gwyn has arrived in Bogotá, Columbia to participate in a cultural programme entitled Las Líneas de su Mano – where he will perform his work and discuss translation.

Read his alter ego Ricardo Blanco's account of the two worlds of Bogotá, his deconstruction of the wise old man and the recurring question where are the others?

Building on our collaboration through Latin America Writers' Chain in 2013, Wales Literature Exchange is glad to support Richard Gwyn during his Creative Wales Ambassadorship.

Working in partnership with the Club de Traductores Literarios de Buenos Aires, and supporting partners including international literary festivals, universities and journals in Chile, Colombia and Mexico is providing Wales Literature Exchange an unique opportunity to deepen the literary exchange between Wales and Latin America.

The Arts Council of Wales Creative Wales Ambassadors Awards are made by nomination and recognise significant individual achievement in the arts along with the aim to raise the profile of Welsh culture outside of Wales.
