Wales Literature Exchange at the 2019 London Book Fair

Wales Literature Exchange will be heading to the London Book Fair between 12–14 March, the global marketplace for rights negotiation and the sale and distribution of content across print, audio, TV, film and digital channels. Indonesia has been chosen as Market Focus for 2019 to highlight the country’s dynamic publishing industry and to increase awareness of its long literary traditions.

Wales will have a collective stand (Stand 5C129) showcasing the best books and writers from Wales in both English and Welsh this year. The stand is managed by a group of seven organisations:

  • Arts Council of Wales/Wales Arts International;
  • British Council Wales;
  • Literature Across Frontiers;
  • Literature Wales;
  • Wales Literature Exchange;
  • Wales PEN Cymru;
  • Welsh Books Council.

Representatives from Wales Literature Exchange will be meeting publishers, agents and translators, and presenting our 2018–19 Bookcase - our selection of books which we recommend for translation. To make an appointment with our Translation Grants Officer at the London Book Fair, please contact us at post@waleslitexchange.org
