Browse our database of Welsh literature in translation below. Bear with us as we work on adding our full database of translations here. Several hundred further translations will be added over the coming months.
Some recent new translations include two volumes of poems by Gog y Magog publishers in Buenos Aires: Richard Gwyn translated into Spanish by Jorge Fondebrider and Tiffany Atkinson translated by Inés Garland and Silvia Camerotto. Following the centenary celebrations of R. S. Thomas's birth, a Slovenian translation by Veno Taufer and a new Catalan translation have been published. We have also marked the Chinese New Year celebrations with a special issue on Welsh literature and art in Chinese translation by the review Foreign Literature and Art published by Shanghai Translation Publishing House, edited by Yan Ying. Meanwhile, we eagerly await the arrival of the Bengali translation by Sunandan Roy Chowdhury of O! Tyn y Gorchudd (The Life of Rebecca Jones) by Angharad Price.
