Meinir Pierce Jones comes from Nefyn in Llyn. She has earned a living using and applying words - as a translator, an editor, and author for children and adults. From 2011 to 2019 she worked as a project officer, leading on the work to reopen and manage the Llyn Maritime Museum. Her historical novel, Capten, was awarded the Daniel Owen Memorial Prize at the 2022 National Eisteddfod.
