Dr. Rebecca Thomas is a Cardiff-based author and Senior Lecturer in Medieval History at Cardiff University. She has published three novels for children and young adults: Dan Gysgod y Frenhines (Under the Queen's Shadow, Gwasg Carreg Gwalch, 2022), Y Castell ar y Dŵr (The Castle on the Water, Gwasg Carreg Gwalch, 2023), and Anturiaethau'r Brenin Arthur (The Adventures of King Arthur, Gwasg Carreg Gwalch, 2024). Y Tŵr  marks her debut adult novel.
