Fiction Fiesta, Literature Across Frontiers and Wales Literature Exchange will present an intimate evening of poetry and discussion with four poets from Turkey (7pm, Saturday 13th of April, Cafe Gogo, Cardiff) leading up to the Turkey Market Focus at the London Book Fair. The gathering will feature the work of Efe Duyan, Gökçenur Ç, Gonca Özmen and Adnan Özer alongside two of their translators, poets Zoë Skoulding and Richard Gwyn. There will be readings and a discussion about the art of poetry translation. It marks the launch of a poetry pamphlet of the poets’ work in English translation – Paper Ship – the result of two poetry translation workshops organised by Literature Across Frontiers.

The event is a prelude to the Turkish Market Focus at this year’s London Book Fair. Food and drinks will be served and each guest will receive a free copy of the pamphlet.
