In an interview with BBC Radio Cymru’s Bwrw Golwg, Francesca Rhydderch and one of Korea's foremost literary figures, Lee Seung-U discussed his work, his ideas and his visit to Wales with presenter John Roberts.

Lee Seung-U visited Aberystwyth on Friday, April 11th to take part in an event organised by Wales Literature Exchange, in partnership with the British Council as part of the Korea Market Focus Cultural Programme at The London Book Fair 2014. In a special event held at The Old College, Francesca Rhydderch, author of the The Rice Paper Diaries (Seren, 2013) and Korea’s leading philosophical novelist discussed his life and the influence of his Christian faith on his work.

The interview, broadcast on Sunday, April 13th 2014, provides a taste of the evening including an interesting discussion on Lee Seung-U’s belief that elements of guilt can be a positive force in life, a powerful theme in many of his works.
