The Exchange is celebrating the publication in Welsh of a children's book - Y Pussaka Hud - written by five authors in five countries - Wales, Finland, Catalunya, The Czech Republic and Ireland. Menna Elfyn is the author from Wales. The story follows the adventures of a brother and sister, Nic and Anna, as they travel from country to country with the help of a magic purse - the pussaka. The book is the fruit of a creative translation workshop organised by Literature Across Frontiers and the Institució des les Lletres Catalanes, Barcelona in partnership with Wales Literature Exchange. The workshop was held in a writers' and translators' house in the Catalan Pyrenees. The book is now available in five languages and is illustrated by a Finnish illustrator. The Welsh book is published by Gwasg y Bwthyn.
