Collected Later Poems by R.S.Thomas selected to Books of 2014 lists in China

Collected Later Poems (1988-2000) by R.S.Thomas, translated into Chinese by Jia Cheng and published by Chongqing University Publishing House has been selected to two annual Books of 2014 lists in China.

The Beijing News selected the volume to their list of the eleven best literary books published in 2014, whilst IFeng included the book on a longer list of the best 100 books. Other works selected to both lists include The Festival of Insignificance by Milan Kundera and Joseph Brodsky’s Less Than One.

Jia Cheng is a lecturer in English at Jinan University, China and has been translating the work of R.S.Thomas for over a decade. Collected Poems (1945 – 1990) by R.S.Thomas, Jia Cheng's two volume selection translation was published in 2012.
