Horatio Clare, one of our Bookcase authors, will appear at The Bookworm International Literary Festival, Beijing this month.
The Bookworm Literary Festival (BLF), now in its 9th year, is an annual celebration of literature and ideas, bringing together diverse voices from around the world. The privately funded and independently run festival dedicated to providing a platform for honest and topical discourse and debate.
More than 120 authors from across the globe will converge at the festival held from March 13 to 29, across three Bookworm cities (Beijing, Chengdu, Suzhou), plus four other Chinese cities as part of their ongoing Literary Caravan series.
Horatio Clare, will participate in four events, including readings from his book, Down to The Sea in Ships and hold a workshop on travel writing.
He will also participate in a panel debate focusing on European Literature with Clare Azzopardi (Malta) and Aka Morchiladze (Georgia) chaired by Alexandra Buchler, director of our sister organisation, Literature Across Frontiers.
During their visit, Horatio Clare and Alexandra Buchler will also meet with representatives from Shanghai Translation Publishing House, the largest comprehensive translation publishing house in China.
