Mécaniques du ciel (Calmann-lévy, trans. Marie Boudewyn), the French translation of Konstantin by Tom Bullough, has been long-listed for the Prix Laure-Bataillon. The winning translation will be announced in November 2013.
Past winners include Bohumil Hrabal translated from Czech by Claudia Ancelot, Bo Carpelan translated from Swedish (Finland) by Bjurström and Albertini, John Updike translated by Maurice Rambaud, Hans Magnus Enzensberger translated from Hungarian by Georges Arès, W. G. Sebald translated from German by Patrick Charbonneau, Mo Yan translated from Chinese by Noël et Liliane Dutrait, Derek Walcott translated by Claire Malroux and Peter Esterhazy translated from Hungarian by Agnès Jarfas.
Translation rights for Konstantin have also been sold for German (Beck), Hebrew (Modan), Italian (Piemme), Portuguese (Materia Prima) and Serbian (Laguna).
