Simon Brooks will be visiting Slovenia between the 9th and 18th of April, spending time in Neva Mesto and in the capital, Ljubljana. The visit is part of the Slovene Book Days events, organised by the Slovene Writers' Association which is a partner of Literature Across Frontiers (Aberystwyth) in the Creative Europe programme.
Slovenia is mentioned frequently by Simon in his recent book Pam na fu Cymru? (Why Wales never happened) as he places Wales’ failure to secure independence in the context of many of Europe’s small countries who have succeeded over the past century.
Simon Brooks' visit is organised by the Slovene Writers' Association and Literature Across Frontieres as part of the Literary Europe Live project, and is supported by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union.
