Rhys Iorwerth lives and works in Caernarfon as a poet, translator, and writer.

He studied Welsh at Cardiff University, where he gained a BA degree in 2004 and an MA in 2005.

He won the Chair competition at the Eisteddfod Genedlaethol in 2011.
