Murder on Ynys Môn: The Anglesey Crossbow Killing

Building on the success of The Crossbow Killer podcast, a true crime investigation that explores a dark and shocking murder in the idyllic landscape of Anglesey.

In the early hours of Good Friday, April 2019, Gerald Corrigan was shot with a crossbow outside his home on Anglesey. The attack proved fatal. This is the story of a brutal crime, medieval in its barbarity, that shocked those living in this seemingly idyllic landscape. The murderer was caught and convicted, but there remain many unanswered questions. The most perplexing being: why?

Journalist Siôn Tecwyn covered the case at the time. Working with Meic Parry, producer of ‘The Crossbow Killer’ podcast, he explores the events leading up to the murder and the subsequent investigation. Including unseen content and additional insight from the trial, as well as unreported facts about the case which develop the story further, Murder on Ynys Môn highlights the complexity of this dark and shocking mystery.

The book also features poetry by renowned Welsh poet Rhys Iorwerth and evocative photographs by Robert Law.

Reviews

“A forensic unravelling of one of the most barbaric and senseless murders in the annals of Welsh crime. With no witness to the violence that sprung from nowhere on a moonlit night in a remote pocket of an island regarded for its safety almost as much as its natural beauty, it appeared to be the perfect crime. But as Murder on Ynys Môn reveals in captivating detail, no matter how cautiously a killer covers their tracks, they can never be too sure that someone or rather something is not watching.”
