Bydoedd (Worlds), a memoir by Ned Thomas has been published in Bangla translation.

Ned Thomas is not the object of this memoir but the eyes through which a large slice of recent European history is seen. The volume was adjudged Welsh-language Book of the Year in 2011, and selected to the Wales Literature Exchange Bookcase.

The memoir is published by Sampark and translated by Sunandan Roy Chowdhury with the support of a translation grant by Wales Literature Exchange.

This is not the first volume from Wales to be published in Bangla translation by Sampark. O! Tyn y Gorchudd (The Life of Rebecca Jones) by Angharad Price was published in 2014, while in 2015 a collection of short stories from Wales was launched at the Kolkata Bookfair. The Anthology of Welsh Short Fiction in Bangla translation features the work of ten Welsh authors, including Francesca Rhydderch, Lloyd Jones and Deborah Kay Davies.
