Tiffany Murray

Tiffany Murray was born in South West Sussex and grew up in Wales. She studied at New York University and the University of East Anglia and, in 2011, was selected as an inaugural Hay Festival International Fellow. Her first novel, Happy Accidents (Fourth Estate, 2005), set on a rural farm on the Welsh-English border, has drawn comparison with Stella Gibbons' Cold Comfort Farm. In addition to her subsequent novels, Diamond Star Halo (Granta) and Sugar Hall, her writing has appeared in numerous national publications including Granta, The Guardian, Sunday Times Style and GQ. She has received the Roger Deakin Award for nature writing, and has been shortlisted for the Wodehouse Bollinger Prize. My Family and Other Rock Stars is her first memoir.
